Following the yellow brick road
I popped into the National Film Theatre cafe on my way back to Waterloo the other day for a coffee and a slice of carrot cake. It was very tasty, thank you. I was initially taken aback to see this familiar figure at the end of a corridor. On further inspection I discovered it was a cut out of Judy Garland as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz. The yellow bricks added to the authenticity of the image. It turned out that the BFI has been running a season of Judy Garland films this month. I've headed back to London for this evening's annual London Legal Walk in aid of organisations offering pro bono legal advice and support for people who cannot otherwise afford to access justice. It's a massive event and the charity I am secretary to is one of the biggest fundraisers. I'll post photos and more about the event tomorrow but now I've got to gather my team for a 10k walk (or run!) around Central London.
