London landmarks

Yesterday evening's London Legal Walk took in a lot of familiar sights. The main photo is of the Victoria Monument in front of Buckingham Palace. The extras show a side view of the Palace, the ornate gates into Green Park and walkers at the Wellington Arch at Hyde Park Corner. When I took these photos I was beginning to flag, having clocked up 7 kilometres, but stayed the course to finish at the Law Society in Chancery Lane. Over 20,000 steps on the day and feeling it this morning! But heartened by the money raised - reported to stand at £550,000 yesterday and likely to rise as many law firms match the sums raised by their staff. The money raised will enable charities, advice agencies and pro bono organisations to continue to provide free advice and support to people who would otherwise not be able to afford access to the law.
