Reaching for the Stars

This cherry picker unfolds to huge heights enabling work to be done on the outside of one of the penthouse flats nearby. What the work is I have no idea but it is on going after several days. I will maybe find out this afternoon at the first of the TGIF meetings with neighbours in 2 1/2 years.

I consider myself very lucky in my brushes with the NHS so far this year. Not only did I have a follow up phone call today from the oncology department at the WGH about any after effects of my radiology last month, but a letter this morning  from Aberdeen Royal Infirmary where I was originally treated for my broken ankle suggesting I get checked out for osteoporosis and of course a speedy foot X-ray scheduled for Tuesday.

Not so lucky though with the Audiology department. There is no automatic recall for hearing tests after 3 years  and there is a 6 month waiting list at present rising to something worse by September when I can apply for an appointment. You can’t win them all.
