We worked on a pathway and a patio in this garden today. The rose was beside the patio. Last summer we had to move several plants on this property, they were doing the curb replacement and repaving. Part of the driveway was dug up too for water main work. It forced the homeowner into letting me add some fresh gravel to the pathway. I picked up 15 bags of pea gravel today and will get another 15 in 2 weeks to finish the pathway. There is a white flagstone patio on the back yard, which the owner never uses now, but we do try to keep it weeded. In 2 weeks, we will tackle the rest of the jungle in the back yard.
This morning, as we finished one job and getting ready to move to the next house, a guy out for a walk saw us. He came over, asked if we were gardeners, and wanted my card. His neighbor's gardener retired this year so he has been looking for someone new. He called me later, I stopped in to see his garden on the way home, and I now have another bi-weekly job.
