Stoked

We love this new honeysong purple Stokes Aster. It adds gorgeous color and great texture to the flower bed it now calls home. Hopefully this beauty survives visiting deer and Maine winters • It’s overcast and quite humid with rain showers forecasted for the evening. I decided to lighten the load today and watered potted plants only • MrsP did some weeding in the veggie garden before helping me tie up two top heavy plants: chive and clematis. Our biggest worry is the clematis because it broke away from the trellis and folded over. It’s packed full of pink flowers and buds • We’re distracted with yesterday’s mass shooting details from Illinois. Imagine attending a 4th of July parade in your community and a shooter on a rooftop shoots a high-powered rifle into the crowd. It’s just shocking. These military style rifles need to be outlawed!
