The Most Beautiful Beach In The Country

After a wet and rainy start to the day, we had a morning in Alnwick exploring the shops and just pottering mainly waiting for the weather to clear up.

It cleared up around lunchtime and so early afternoon we headed up to Bamburgh. Dad and sister-in-law went round the castle while brother and I took the dogs on the beach (I have been round Bamburgh castle on a previous visit). It was blowing an absolute hooley on the beach and by the time we finished I felt like I had been through a sandblaster. It didn’t change my opinion that Bamburgh beach is one of the most beautiful beaches in the country!
