Tell it to the birds

Not a great day for TSM. But they gave her a 4-6 week recovery window so good days and bad days are only to be expected.

Ate well today. 

For the third day in a row I gave TSM her anticoagulant injections. I reckon I would make a good nurse. 

Reading a really interesting book about the history of home life. Fascinating stuff. Concepts of home in the context of pre-industrial and industrial societies, and how home relates to other institutions such as family, marriage and work.

Also started watching Series 2 of "Only Murders In The Building". Brilliant.

Apparently pigeon racing to the continent is now under threat because of Brexit. You couldn’t make this stuff up. 2016 will go down in history as the year we shot ourselves in the head because a small group of fanatics warped reality for enough people to make it happen. The idiocy still confounds me. Six years on I’m still angry, not just with Brexit but with the extremism it unleashed. Talking of which the line up for Boris Johnson’s replacement seems to consist of a bunch of people who are totally divorced from the reality of ordinary peoples’ lives …

This ain’t gonna get fixed in my lifetime.
