Red = Danger?

I had to read the electric meter yesterday. It displayed the "current" reading, but alternated with this "rEd" message. Well to me, RED means danger, as in traffic lights, green - go, amber - proceed with caution, red - STOP, or the old wiring colours, black - neutral, RED - LIVE..

So when I saw the message, I'm thinking "quick, get in touch with my supplier". Look up the website, and have an "On-line" chat with a person with a brain the size of a pea. Send a picture to the customer service contact e-mail he advised..

I received my reply today. rEd stands for "Reverse energy detected", it's the solar panels feeding back into the grid. You'd have thought a pea would be able to tell you that..
