A Sip and a Dip

We were up bright and early at 5.30 this morning, unable to sleep any longer for excitement, because today is the first day of the rest of our lives. A huge weight was taken from us yesterday that has been laying on us heavily for a long time as a family, and it’s an amazing feeling. We are so grateful to God for his wonderful love and protection.

As we don’t (yet) have a bird bath in our garden I filled a large clay pot base with water as a temporary measure during this hot weather, and at 6.30 this morning these two chaps were enjoying the enhanced facilities chez nous. I know one is a goldfinch, but am not too sure whether the bather is a young robin or a young blackbird. Either way, he looks very cute having a paddle!
