Bus Blip

Lots to do today in Lochgilphead. John needed the car to get back home as he was staying down for the Dolphins where he is a swimming instructor.

I came home in the bus ( the school bus which is also a service bus - well behaved youngsters, apparently the bus is always that much more calm when their ex- head teacher is travelling on it - at least they all chat to me as they get on which is nice as many teenagers are so morose these days and only mumble the odd word or two ) Anyway a major positive as far as I am concerned is the elevated viewpont from the bus, so much better than the car. This is my favourite view on the way home. Almost half way down Minard Hill the landscape opens up and you get this wonderful view across to Dunleaccain Hill on the left all the back to the Arrocher Alps and across to the Cowal area.

On the left if you look large, you can see the quarry at Furnace and all the tiny cottages there are part of our village. I can actualy pinpoint our house beside the tall Scots Pines on the edge of the loch.

Incidentally those gathering storm clouds did produce heavy hail stones , followed by very heavy rain.

Also should have said this was take on my wee canon Powershot from the moving bus , it does work if you are aiming into the scene and not across the scene if you see what I mean.

LARGE might be worth a look to see our tiny village.
