Gazania

Today's the day ..................... for South Africa

I have several of these gorgeously sunny gazanias in flower in the garden just now - and they'll keep going right through the summer and into autumn.  They are native to South Africa and so it follows that they prefer a sunny position and are tolerant of dryness and poor soils.

Talking of South Africa, we happily discovered today that our Sky TV package gives enough access to Sky Sports for Will to be able to watch the live Rugby Union match this afternoon - Wales v South Africa.  He adapted very quickly to this unexpected delight, abandoned all plans to work in the garden - and settled down with a beer.

I have a feeling though, from what I can hear, that things might not currently be all that sunny for Wales on the pitch as the game progresses .......................?!
