Red poppy and bee at Little Sparta
This afternoon Bella treated us to a trip to Little Sparta. We'd heard of this garden before, but had no idea how lovely it would be. The wonderful weather, fantastic views of the Pentland hills and the Lanarkshire countryside, plus chatting to other visitors from our picnic bench beside the lochan (amongst them two hardcore Dr Who fans), also contributed to a most enjoyable afternoon. I took loads of photos when we were in the garden, including several landscapes, but I like this bee and poppy best.
We returned home for tea and (more) of David's cherry cake. I suddenly felt very tired (too much fun is obviously exhausting) so I had an hour's lie-down ahead of the evening Catan games. By the end of the day the score was 3 wins to hazelh, 2 to Mr hazelh, and 1 to Bella.
Exercise today: small amount of gentle walking (8232 steps).
