Will They, Won't They

When I first looked, the swallows were circling around the tree making quite a disturbance. Then they all settled. I took a few shots and then became aware of the clouds. While I waited to see if they would all take off again, I adjusted my composition to include the clouds. Shooting with B&W+red filter seemed to darken the blue sky and enhance the clouds. Of course, shooting in raw means it's all adjustable afterwards anyway.

My patience didn't last and I didn't see them all fly off again.

Extra: Cross. Backlit iris leaves. I shot them in colour before, but b&w emphasizes the silhouette and negative shapes.
