Leaving Bordeaux One More Time
This morning I had my very last final ever for my undergraduate education (well hopefully)! Oh my gosh, I can't believe my schooling has gone by so fast. When I get home, it will be time to graduate and find a real job. I'm not ready for the real world.
I went to campus for the last time and as well as the Centre de Californie. I wrote on the paper in the center my permanent address and the date of my departure. When we all left the center, Nicole and Joelle gave us all hugs and kisses. By we, I mean Kelly, Sam, Robyn, and Briana. I will miss our program coordinators. They are really the best.
So, my last DEFLE final was complete boloney. My art history professor gave us an option of doing one of two topics. To put it simply, I just made some stuff up and racked my brain for any material I remembered. Let's hope for a decent grade. When I turned in my paper, the professor was interested in my name. She thought it was Italian, which in fact it could be, and she asked me where I was from and how I pronounced it. I told her and she said, oh just like Italian pronunciation. Despite this professors terrible teaching style, I will miss her cooky personality.
Later in the day, I continued packing, tried to send a package to my aunt in Italy, but failed. Then later, I went to the train station and left for Paris one more time before leaving Bordeaux permanently. I can't believe I'm going to leave Bordeaux, so soon! Ack!!
When I got to Paris, in the Montparnasse train station, I overheard some Filipinos talking and they were speaking my dialect. Instantly, I said to them, You speak Ilocano! I was really excited. It was great hearing my native language from people other than my parents. They were really nice. They helped me find which metros to take and they gave me some Sky Flake crackers. One of them lives in Paris. The other two came to visit. They had just gone to Lourdes.
