Barley

This barley field is just beside Hamilton Wood where we were walking this morning. There’s a Cabbage white in Extras. We saw one roe deer in the wood, running almost parallel with us about fifty feet away, and were entertained by the calls of 4 buzzards today. I’m guessing some of them were youngsters.
I cut the hedge that borders my front garden this afternoon. It was badly needing done as it was taking up half the pavement, and was far too high, approx 7 feet high and 5 feet wide. It’s now about 5 feet x 3 feet. The hedge trimmers are a ton weight, and it took me three hours, but I’m chuffed it’s done and looking pretty good, ( though I say it myself).
I’m exhausted now and my arms are very shakey.
