Love in the mist

These are seed pods from love-in-the- mist at our allotment. Every year this self seeds and we get the lovely blue flowers. This year the flowers did not last very long! We also have lots of poppy seed heads.

I cycled past Hampton Court again today and the ‘Superbloom’ is looking even more parched, see extra. However on close examination there are flowers which were not there earlier….including….Garden orache/French spinach..looks like docks from a distance; Pink cornflowers rather than the blue ones which are now over and various colours of common toadflax. 

Great that the lionesses beat Germany in extra time to win Eoru final 2-1
