Tropical

We both worked away at our desks today, Bb upstairs and myself downstairs. Both of us are trying to get on top of things before a few days away. We both went out for a coffee separately mid-morning to stretch our legs and have a break. Our coffee machine is broken, after only 3 months, and I miss it, despite having cut back to max 2 and before mid day. It's hot and humid. The 32 degrees with the humidity makes it feel like 35.  Bb watered the roof terrace and balcony and I did the patio. We didn't venture out again till 7.30pm, when we went out for a walk. We forgot to put on the air con though and so when we returned it felt tropical out here on the patio. Honestly, it reminded us of being in Singapore at the start of our honeymoon in 1990 or Martinique on our visits there.  I sprayed the plants here again and we decided to sit out here for a wee while to let the air con kick in.  Goodness knows how much the bill will be but we realise we're lucky to have air con and be able to use it, although we do restrict it for both ecological reasons and personal budget reasons.  We're on the patio right now, listening to the water drip off the plants.
