Good vibes
Hartside, extreme views.
Hill top fort and farm shop lunch:
quiche with soggy crust :-/
Last holiday day today. Mr KCNQ2Haiku cycled up Hartside Pass and up to Alston and beyond. We picked him up near Cow Green reservoir and then went back to climb up to a Roman fort. It was quite blowy but beautiful views. Ben has been good. He slept well again and mostly managed the time in the car well. He has a tendency to introduce himself to people in shops and cafes etc, from which we’re trying to dissuade him (not very successfully). He also doesn’t like it when holidays end, well frankly, who does?? But he has had very extreme reactions in the past. So although he’s asked a few times today about whether we know what our next holiday will be and he has said he wants to stay here, overall it does show progress that he is processing these emotions better. In other news, I also really don’t want the holiday to end! I love the hills and the walking, the fresh air and expanse of countryside. Grumble grumble, suburban photos will resume tomorrow.
