Hot Yellow

After the two day heatwave here a few weeks ago, warm weather seems to be returning - sunny and 20°C today, so this afternoon we took the chairs out and read in the garden. Which is where I still am.

Thus the image of various pollinating insects on the rudbeckia, which are now in flower. The sedums are waiting in the wings.

Two bits of avian excitement whilst sitting in the garden. After an absence of a couple of weeks or so the house martins have returned to the nest. Repairing for a second brood ? And a young blackbird almost collided into me as it flew over my head - or more accurately through my hair. It was startled, and so was I, it needs to improve its flying skills.
