Blanes

We're on holiday! I can't remember the last time we had a holiday in the European summer as I'm usually working on a CELTA course, but because I'm not this year and as it's a quieter work time for Bb, here we are in Blanes, the first place that marks the start of the Costa Brava. We'd planned to pack yesterday, but finishing up work stuff got in the way.  We did make a list though last night, which made it much easier to pack today. I don't like packing, so this helped. 

We arrived here late afternoon, walked along the front to the left of our hotel and then a wee rest before dinner. The hotel we're in is the one where we stayed for one night a few weeks ago when we came up to have lunch with Harald and Analise in their hotel nr Lloret del Mar. We liked it so much that we booked it before leaving for 6 nights. We're in the same room, with a balcony with a sea view and breakfast and dinner included!  The inclusion of dinner was such a good value add-on that we went for it. We're in the restaurant now, sea view, table service.  

Our laptops are in the safe and we'll only use them when really necessary. We have our kindles, new holiday books, our old faithful yahtzee pack and our online backgammon. Bring it on!!

Extra added. Bit overcast this afternoon and to be honest it was very welcome. It didn't stop people walking into the beach in the evening at 7pm to catch the last hour or so.
