Aftermath

I took some items over to the RSPCA this morning for their rescue dogs. A bed and blankets that an elderly lady in the village still had although it's some time since she's had a dog. I walked back via the alleyway where the branches of overgrown trees had snagged power cables on the hottest day of the year, a couple of weeks or so ago, causing a lengthy power cut. This picture shows the aftermath of the burnt out skeleton of one of the trees that caught fire, contrasted against the tree in full, parched, leaf in  the background.
