More river

We had a leisurely start today - late breakfast in the garden (although I had been up since 7.30, as I love an early start when it is quiet and nobody is around!).  V got up to walk the dog and gradually everyone else came down for breakfast.  We sat in the garden and enjoyed chatting and the sunshine.  Messages with No.2 and long phone conversation after which he decided to come home again rather than having a day in the studio on his own.  We walked/drove to the river with paddleboards, chairs, flask and dog and spend a very enjoyable few hours paddling up and down.  (Aimee paddled and I sat and watched the world go by).  Unfortunately V fell in but the water wasn't cold although she narrowly avoided bashing her head on the jetty!  Back for another BBQ and sadly A&J packed up and went home.  Lovely family weekend - and enjoyed having JC's parents staying with us.  Shattered but managed to stay awake for a film on Netflix.
