Helena Handbasket

When my alarm goes off at 6am, the rays from the rising sun bounce back off the shiny parts of this building site straight into my sleepy eyes. When I moved here, 51 days ago, it was doing that same thing significantly earlier and there was no alarm and no need to get up.
I can now safely report that all five days this week in the new job have been happy. I am finding my feet, learning the ropes, discovering that most people are friendly and fun.
On Monday I will be joining a team of surveyors on a roof, for which I shall be required to wear correct safety boots, and since my own pair are helping out in Oxford, I have been issued a new pair.
