Italy day 2

Another day, another pass. No ice today but some scrambly exposed paths, a fierce sharp scree ascent where I shinned myself rather badly and had to just carry on. So a welcome lunch at a hut, a delightful contour round to our first view of the Matterhorn on the Italian side then a rather surreal night in town at Cervinia instead of a high hut. Handy though to stock up on first aid for my leg injury and an excellent night out on town with the best pizza ever. Well it is Italy! Extra of ibex - we saw a small herd sunning themselves on the rocks soon after lunch.
