Rear Window Shelf
Esmé came over today for lunch and some time together. Her dad brought along his computer so he could work while she and I played.
We checked out the old red Ford, sitting in it taking turns "driving" to the beach. I told her when I was a kid, I didn't sit in a carseat or wear a seat belt. In fact, I said, we kids would scramble to lay on the rear window shelf so we could watch out the window, and that she should try it out since she might not get another chance. So she did.
