I suppose that red does signify hot, fiery, danger even, and I can vouch that these chilli peppers tick all of those boxes!

Of course never, ever rub your eyes whilst preparing them as the consequences are not good.

Having said all of this I do like them in moderation and never choose a curry just because it's the hottest on the menu, I just watch as anyone who does so usually struggles with their choice.

It's not just Indian dishes that use chillies is it and so many wonderful dishes from around the world use them too. 

Saw these at a local farm shop but never asked if they had grown them or how much they cost.
