Bearded Tit #85

We were delighted this morning when the volunteer in the visitor centre at Hickling Broad said there were spots still left on the 10.30am boat trip. It was a fabulous morning with some great sightings - Hobby, Marsh Harriers, a fly-by by a Bittern, lots of waders and the stars of the show - 2 juvenile bearded tits that showed up quite close to one of the hides we visited. 
With 10 of us in the hide, and two people making a lot of excited noises, they unfortunately didn't stay very long. There are a couple more shots in extras, but this one was my favourite. 
Back at the visitor centre we had our picnic and an ice cream and then walked around the whole reserve. It turned out to be very warm, and with little seen, we were quite frustrated with the afternoon, but the super morning wasn't easily forgotten. Another wonderful day - we've been very lucky so far.
