Old friends

I was at school with Catherine on the left and at University with Miriam on the right.  I introduced them and they have become the closest friends.  Always gratifying.  It was Catherine’s birthday today and she habitually has a pizza party on or near the date.  We took Ivy over with us as B and C had come down in order to go to a wedding.   Catherine’s husband Jon who normally does all the pizzas with their son Freddie but F was in Canada and Jon has driven an axe into his leg 20 mins before we arrived.  He came back after an hour with 14 stitches, some subcutaneous.
