Remembering

On 4th August 1914 Britain declared war on Germany, on 4th September 1914, one hundred and eight years ago today Sapper T.H Carne of the Royal Engineers died, aside from his service number little else is known about him.
Through my volunteering with the Commonwealth War Graves Commission I have a vague idea of the dates on some of the CWGC graves in Falmouth and Paddy and I keep an eye open when walking.

Recovery day today, the weekend paper, catching up on yesterdays international rugby highlights, roast dinner, walking Paddy, all very relaxing.
