A visit to the opticians

First class assessment and care, as I’ve become used to expect from these people. The results were good and my present specs will continue to provide service. 

The cafe in the village that we visited has reopened since we were there last year, so we had a light lunch. Most enjoyable.

We had planned to continue on into Lincoln to get a few things, but found that the local Coop and post office were able to supply our needs. 

On a somber note, the TV have announced that the Queen’s health is causing concern and her family have travelled to Balmoral to be with her. We recognise that the inevitable will happen at some point in time, but it doesn’t make it any easier to contemplate or face.
