After precisely one month, I am being discharged from the hospital.

I’m finding it all a bit overwhelming. Only a week ago I was facing the prospect of having no hip joint at all and being confined to a wheelchair for three months, as they thought the infection had spread.

Miraculously, I started to show an improvement and the surgery was cancelled at the last minute.

Now I have to get my strength back, particularly in my legs, which have atrophied and are very weak.

But slowly but surely I will be back to mid-season form eventually.
