Nothing To Busy

Thursday Gang in the pouring rain, bucketing down for lengthy periods, meant we didn’t get much done. 150 celebrations kick off this coming Saturday, I won’t be there, party to attend.
I hope it goes well but I have my doubts, as people start to feel the squeeze and look for economies I think grassroots sport might suffer.
We put bottles of beer into presentation packs whilst others decorated the hall.
A friend came up for a chat and to drop off some food bank donations into the club freezer until needed.

Epic rowing cancelled due to insufficient numbers showing up.

Whilst putting everything away the news filtered through that H.M Queen Elizabeth II had passed away at Balmoral.

Like many others I suspect I feel the loss as though she were some sort of distant relation. The only monarch I have known in my sixty-nine years.
This will take a day or two to process I guess.
