New second hand books

Today was quite a busy day socialising! First of all I met my bookman, Michael, for coffee in the place where I used to work. Michael is a regular customer there and that's how he became my book provider. He's a prolific reader and used to bring me about 10 books a week! Since I left I haven't seen him so much so have managed to get through most of the books he's given me.

Then it was shopping, met Mo for an hour, did a Tesco dash, shopping again ( trying to find a birthday prezzie ) then appointment at the opticians.

I need varifocals now, so am £159 poorer than I was when I went in. I guess that's not too bad as I got a free pair of sunglasses thrown in. Plus, I've had a sore eye since yesterday and the optician managed to find and remove a tiny sharp foreign body from it. It's nice not to have an itchy eye tonight.

In all the excitement, I forgot to take even one photograph all day, so here are the books I was given today!
