A very smoky day, especially this evening. Wildfires have popped up in western Washington - throughout the Northwest, really - some sparked by lightening. The nearest to us (well to the north) is the Bolt Creek Fire in Skykomish, which apparently started early this morning and has exploded to either 2,000 or 9,000 acres, depending on the news source. Folks are having to evacuate and no rain is forecast, unfortunately. Hoping the firefighters and everyone up there stay safe.
