Danger: deep water

These seem to be new signs. Kids jump and dive off these pontoons, well aware that it is deep water. To them I think, that is the point. I've seen them swim right across to the other side. I've been trying to work on my beached novel. It feels a bit like trying to push water up a hill. Chapter Twelve is setting a new record for slowness of production.
