Slipping Easily Into A Slipway Slumber, Whitstable

It was a lovely morning today so we got up early and went for a short run. It was after that that we thought we would head to the seaside for our breakfast/brunch. Whitstable, being one of our favourite places, it was soon decided that would be our destination for a short trip.
When we got there we headed straight to one of the cafes right by the beach and both had a huge sausage sandwich each! While we were consuming this delicacy we spotted these dinghies being pulled into the sea and sailed in the stiffish breeze. We have been to Whitstable quite a few times in the past couple of years but it's the first time we've ever seen these beautiful, elegant boats on the water. It felt so calming to watch them slowly twist, turn and stall so elegantly in the sea that they were so perfectly made for.
The second and third extras were taken at the harbour which is still a working port for both fishing vessels and huge container ships (the one featured having the brilliantly appropriate name of Neptune).
The last extra was taken in the town itself. I loved the colour in the windows and the old school name of the shop itself. We had a great time and we were still back home (via a stop off for a cold pint) before 2 p.m.
A very enjoyable day indeed and it was just wonderful to see the sea again.
