A Tribute to Brunel

On Monday mornings elderly Aunt S has a sitter - well, a former nurse, who is well versed in caring for the elderly and infirm and a lovely lady to boot. It enabled us to shop together - even if much of said shopping was restocking with vital requirements for the frail aunt. At least we were out in the fresh air together and not in direct attendance. 

While we were in town I snapped this lovely flower display in the form of Isambard Kingdom Brunel's engine. It was presented to Weston-super-Mare to commemorate its 200-year anniversary in memory of one Mr. Axentis Michael, who was born the same year as our late queen but died in 2003. It was another summery day for wearing short sleeves and drying washing on the line, despite one short, sharp shower.

Chose this as my main blip, as I liked the way the cloud above a patch of blue sky looks like steam from the engine's funnel, while my Extra shows the display in context.
