Crail......

A day away today , eventually.
First job was a mini rodeo with wee brother to bring in a cow with a dead calf. Luckily he has a spare calf to twin on to her.
Eventually headed off up the road to drop Junior back at Uni at Aberdeen. A fairly quiet drive apart from a detour round Aberdeen as the road round by the harbour was shut. Got there in the end. Who needs sat nav , Boab nav worked fine.
Took the scenic route home round the coastal roads round Angus and Fife. Stopped off at Anstruther for a fish supper, then by the time I got down the road I had missed all the road closures for the Queen making her journey from St Giles to the airport.
Things I learned today...
1. We are not the only one with fields of wet straw. Saw a few folk turning straw to help it dry today.
2. There is an awful lot of soft fruit grown in poly tunnels between Perth and Aberdeen.
3. There are an awful lot of tatties grown too by the number of tractors hauling boxes today.
4. And a first for me today, first time across the Tay bridge.
Even managed to make it down the road to feed heifers before it got dark.
So, 340 miles ,£60 quids worth of diesel, and saw a bit of different countryside. Not a bad days work !
