Swiftsure at Rolvenden

Swiftsure makes a steamy departure from Rolvenden in wet, dank conditions this morning. I was back at Rolvenden on a learning turn at the signalbox.

Only for the morning though as I had an appointment at an Ear Nose and Throat clinic to investigate a long term trivial but annoying sinus issue. It’ll remain annoying as no treatment was deemed necessary. At least I now know that there’s nothing serious causing the symptoms.

Watched the highlights of the procession and lying in state. Very moving as is the fortitude and determination of the people queuing to pay their respects.

Went to the Marmite Uke Jam session this evening, first one after the summer break. Not many there but good fun all the same.
