Tonbridge Castle

We’ve lived in Kent since the 1970s and only rarely been to Tonbridge and never been to the castle.

It was a revelation. Not very big but very well presented with an excellent audio tour included in the modest entry charge. The scenarios were very well done and authentic. It’s a part of Kent that will repay further visits.

Our friends Liz and Al were over for the day. A pleasant lunch outside in the warm sunshine. The trip to Tonbridge. Tea and scones when we got back with cottage pie and runner beans with blackberry and apple crumble to round off the evening
