Not Tiny And Not Tuesday
According to the iPhone ID, this is a Taro plant and it does look like the photos I've been looking at. The roots, corms and leaves are used in some countries for food, made into a powder and used as an herb. I think I remember a frozen yogurt flavor called Taro as well. Lots of benefits in terms of vitamins and minerals. Hmmmm.
Two new friends and I did a "bird walk" at Airlie Gardens this morning. I must say spotting birds in a predominantly wooded setting is a challenge. I will need lots more practice, but 40 different species were seen (by the guides). Still it was a cool morning and the grounds were lovely even if I didn't get a photo of a bird. Binoculars and telescopes were used to see them.
