Sadness is...

finding that your second waterlily flower has been munched. Especially as it's September and I don't imagine we'll get any more this year. Just like the first, someone has tried to peel back the outer sections before it even had a chance to open. This time though, they ripped it off the stalk too. Found beside the wee pond this morning. I'm betting it was a seagull. D thinks squirrel.

An uneventful day. Worked from home and there were many small questions to answer and things to read and approve to keep me busy. Still, I've got a long weekend ahead.
