Colder Weather

I point blank refuse to countenance turning the central heating on before the clocks go back. But the nights are getting colder and our lightweight summer duvet no longer provides enough warmth in the wee small hours. So it’s time to bring out the winter bedding.
I’ve completely lost track of what my energy costs are going to be over winter - EDF, Ofgen and Liz Truss all claim something different. But as it’s EDF who set my direct debit, I know I need to use as little energy as possible over the coming months. So it’s back to how it was when I was a child - jumpers to keep warm during the day, extra bedding at night and scrape the ice off the inside of the windows in the morning.
Maybe not that last one.
