Hide Away

Apologies for poor quality of picture, but it was a very hurried snap. I was out in the garden and saw movement out of the corner of my eye down in the bottom corner. I stood stock still, as did the Robin, each hoping we hadn’t been spotted by the other. I just managed to get my phone out of my pocket and grab a couple of shots before it flew off into the hedge.
Other than that, it’s been another quiet day. We were supposed to be heading down to Chester for a couple of days to do some painting in the flat, but I just didn’t feel like it, and spent most of the day relaxing and reading instead. Though we did have to pop out to Asda when we realised that we had nothing for tea, as we hadn’t anticipated being here!
We had briefly considered heading down to London this weekend to see the Queen lying in state, but really couldn’t face standing in a five mile queue for many, many hours. Probably the correct decision, as I heard on the news that they were preventing people joining the back of the queue for the time being. Will have to be content with the BBC coverage, particularly over the next two evenings when the Queen’s children and grandchildren will be standing vigil by the coffin.
