I visited the Arlington Baths this morning as part of Glasgow Doors Open Festival. The place was busy with Sunday bathers so the blipping opportunities were slim. The practice is to keep your swimmers at the baths - they are laundered for you, I can’t imagine how you are supposed to work out which are yours, perhaps there is a numbered peg system.
My experience of such settings are the fabulous thermal baths scattered across Budapest, it’s an unfair comparison, however I was a little disappointed. The coffee and lemon cake were excellent.
Later I queued for longer than I had expected to get into the last day of the John Byrne exhibition at the Kelvingrove, well worth it. Apparently Billy Connolly has been twice.
