Motorcycle Emptiness

The bike is due its MOT and service on Monday, but I took advantage of it being dry and sunny this afternoon to drop it off at the garage just before they closed for the weekend. At least that way, if it does rain on Monday, I’ll only get wet riding one way!
I must confess, I thought I’d ridden it more this year than last, but a quick look at the service book showed it was about the same, at 600 odd miles. It’s unlikely that figure will increase now as we’re getting near the time of year when I lay it up for the winter.
Apart from that, it’s been another quiet day mainly spent reading and catching up on various programmes I’d recorded earlier in the week whilst out at play rehearsals. I would have liked to have mown the lawn, but it was still a bit damp after yesterday’s downpour. It’s supposed to be dry again tomorrow, so I’ll hopefully be able to do it then.
Quite strange walking into the garage and there just being an empty space where the bike normally is - I still instinctively swerved to avoid bumping into it!
