Hvalnes Lighthouse

Off in the distance of this picture you see the Hvalnes lighthouse. There are a number of orange lighthouses in Iceland. It is near the town we stayed by last night because it is too dangerous to leave due to wind. In fact, it is so dangerous that roads are closed with policeman out. We had to find a new AirBnB stat and there was time between when we had to get out of the old and were allowed into the new. We are grateful that the new place allowed us in hours earlier than usual as there isn’t much to do when it is too dangerous to drive and it is a town of 2,000 on a Sunday.
