ramble to remember

This afternoon I walked with Joanna on a "Ramble to Remember" around Dunscore village. It was organised by Fiona and Jackie (pictured here) and their friend Barbara, in aid of MacMillan Cancer Support. A good turnout and nice to catch up with Joanna, too. We were remembering the walk last September, the "Stroll for Stella" and how Stella's husband Leslie was at the start to see us all off. Sadly, Leslie died from cancer only a few weeks later.

For the rest of the day, I did a little gardening and gathered some apples and pears - made a nice apple cake for tea and put in some of the blackberries I picked yesterday. It's turned a little colder now so I've come inside for a cup of tea :-)
