Diary of an Edinburgher

LECCE DAY SIX

The predicted heavy showers arrived mid-morning. And stayed all day. They were torrential! We were so glad we hadn’t planned a trip today. Hopefully they are moving off to Albania tonight and tomorrow.

We managed out in the morning - JR went to the market for fruit, bread, yoghurt and salad stuff, and texted me from the cafe just outside the Porta Rudiae, so I popped along for a coffee. I had a cappuccino - and found it to be very acceptable here, not too much frothy milk.

We wandered back to the flat, which is so very handy, and then the rains came and lasted all day. Nothing for it but to relax, read, snooze, listen to Radio 4 news.

We had plenty of food, and were able to go out later for a coffee. But I think tomorrow looks fine!

No photos were taken today, so I raided JR’s phone for some shots of the amazing buildings here.

Archie news: He’s having a wonderful holiday, first in Pip’s house, then he spent the weekend with Elizabeth, and he’s now back with Pip for a couple more days.
