New friend

We bought Merlin a new toy today - a pheasant - to replace his old and much loved pheasant who is sadly no longer with us. He’s thrilled with it, parading it around showing us his new toy with pride.

I’ve had a day off work today and my highlight has been a trip to get some goodies from the local farm shop - including some of my favourite dark chocolate and some toffee waffles - how self indulgent!

It’s felt cooler today with a strong north-westerly wind, and a few showers. It brought with it the feeling of the need to cosy down with a good book and a cup of hot tea.
